The last two weeks have been anything but boring. The amount of new information and knowledge I gathered in these past two weeks is going to stay with me for a long time and has changed my perspective on things tremendously.

Methods of Inquiry

  • Analyzing

  • Researching

  • Observing

  • Experimenting

  • Watching

  • Questioning

My most used method of inquiry was Researching. I loved going through website after website, gathering information about my specified color, and learning new things about the color. I not only learn new things, but I also changed my view on certain things. There are no limitations to researching. You can go as deep as you want about any subject. But while utilizing all that information and working on your article, do not use the same language as the article that you gathered information from. Use your language and your perspective.

Observing is the second method of inquiry that I used the most. throughout the past two weeks, I observed and observed whenever I went outside for anything. my mind instinctively looked for objects are products that were purple. Observing is the easiest method of inquiry that you can use because all you have to do is just look around.

The mind map was something that was very new to me but, it was very excitig to work with; Learning anything new is always very fun and exciting. I just loved adding new things to my mind map and expanding it, even though after a while, it did get kind of hard to add new things to it. If you ever feel stuck while working on your mind map, don't be afraid to look at your peer's mind maps for inspiration and the overall layout that they have used. Just don't copy the entire mind map, and you're good.

The muddiest point for me was definitely all the writing work that we had to do because I'm not very comfortable with my writing skills and, I don't really enjoy writing as much as all of the other assignments that we had.

The clearest point for me was Task-7 as a whole, even if It was really stressful towards the end because I got the job of editing and compiling all of the work at the last moment.

I just loved analyzing the movie and its use of colors. That was really fun for me because I got rewarded for watching a movie like how can you not enjoy that? I also enjoyed editing the video in such a way that it has a theme to it. overall it was a really fun assignment

These past two weeks have changed the way I pay attention to my surroundings. It has changed the way I observe things around me because I originally thought that there was no purple around me, But When I went to my roof and paid attention to the plants we have, I found so many purple plants/flowers in our garden, so these last two weeks made me realize that The things you are looking for might be hidden in plain sight, you're just not seeking out for them.

The past two weeks also made me question every topic. Like why does a certain thing have a specific color, or why aren't there any purple mammals, or why a brand uses that specific color as their logo. Inquiry has taught me not to take things for just their face value. It has taught me to question everything.

I'll be honest, I wasn't having much fun during the first few classes because of the writing work we had and didn't really enjoy getting all of the purple objects from my surroundings because I initially thought that I didn't really have much purple in my surrounding, but as the classes progressed and as I learned more about my specific color my interest grew, I wanted to learn more about my color. I wanted to know its meaning and how it can be represented in media factors like these piqued my interest greatly and has motivated me tremendously.
