Scale & context

In this week of think lab, we had to play around with the scale and

context of the object we had picked. scale and context means to

completely change the use or understanding of the object by scaling it

up or down, and to give reasonable context to the new enlarged or

miniature object.

Reflection

This week's activity was a lot easier yet hard at the same time. It was easier because all of the members had their task from the beginning, but it was hard because the object we picked was scissors and it was really hard to come up with ideas for it.

I spent more time coming up with ideas for scissors instead of

drawing, which is why the sketches didn't come out great.

Manipulating the object sounds easy on paper, but it's incredibly hard in

practice. Manipulating the object in such a way that it fits the context was a tremendous task. coming up with the ideas for object manipulation was a lot

more enjoyable as compared to the context because if we add context to the manipulated objects I came up with, they didn't make much sense.

Learning mantra

"Spend less on thinking and more on doing"
